Oil Level Monitoring
The Oil Level Monitor is rather like an electronic dipstick but comprises of a Control Pack and Probe.
The Control Pack houses the electronics necessary to monitor the very small changes that occur on the Probe. The Control Pack also provides the output signal to indicate to the user the fact that the oil is below the level specified by the position of the Probe.
Because it is desirable to keep the Control Pack as near as possible to the Probe, it will in many instances be required to mount the device in the engine compartment of the vehicle.
The Probe consists of sensitive detection components in a Brass Housing and is connected to the Control Pack with the 803-HAR Harness.
